BioI was born in Spring of 1980. Ah, the good old days. It's amazing to stop and think of all the things that have happened in a paltry 26 (!!!) years.
Just grazing the surface of my memories - I remember the Challenger explosion in 1986- I was in in kindergarten, I remember watching the explosion. The Berlin wall coming down - I didn't know understand the significance at the time. I definitely remember the Exon Valdez incident in 1989, though. I felt so sorry for all those animals and the havoc it wreaked on the environment. I had jelly shoes, a hypercolor shirt (it was purple and turned pink), and slap bracelets. I was just on the cusp of pegging jeans, high bangs, and I definitely remember girls my age being in love with The New Kids on the Block. (I was enamored with Jonathan Brandis and David Bowie in my early teens...) I have many fond memories of playing on grandpa's old Apple computer, and the dot matrix printer. I got my first email address in 1993 or so (the year my youngest cousin was born!) and recently gave it up - swamped with spam and the like.
I've always been interested in the past - aside from being a famous singer/actress/writer, I've long wanted to be an archaeologist.
